Our Plans Moving Forward
Our good Father has given us a strange season to live together as a church. He is good and we can trust him. But as we move forward, what will life as LVBC look like?
From this point forward, until it is no longer necessary, we will be moving all our church activities online. Members will be sent links to video calls for events like congregational prayer meetings and Bible studies. Also, our Sunday morning sermon will be streamed on our Facebook page (NOTE: you don't need a Facebook account to access our page).
This is something we never imagined we would need to do and we wouldn't take these steps if we thought there was another way. But given the present situation and our responsibility to love our neighbor as ourselves, we will be taking the actions below.
Remember, this isn't the way it's supposed to be. We are a church, an assembly called to gather together in the name of our Savior. However, at this time, God has providentially given us a season where we cannot do that. So we aren't going to try to re-create church on a screen. That's not really possible. But we will use this strange time to joyfully fellowship with each other given the technology we have been given and look forward with great appetite to the time we can again embrace one another and sing our praise to Jesus in the same room as one church family.
How long will this last? Could be for some time. We simply don't know. Only God knows. And our rest is in him.
"I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth." - Ps. 121:1-2
